Dear friends,

On Sunday, December 22, 2024, we gathered with deep respect and reverence at the monument of Dmitry Egorovich Benardaki to pay tribute to the great Greek, a true benefactor who left an indelible mark in the history of Russia. The presence of each of you added special significance and importance to this moment.

We express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Christos Kalpakis, representative of the Greek Consulate General in Saint Petersburg, whose participation underscored the historical and cultural significance of the legacy of D.E. Benardaki. We also thank the representatives of the Federal National-Cultural Greek Autonomy of Russia, who reminded us of the strength of unity and brotherhood with their presence.

We sincerely thank the Executive Director of the FNKA Greeks of Russia, Ms. Lyudmila Sergeyevna Malysheva, the chief journalist of the Greek community in Moscow, Mr. Nikos Christoforovich Sidiropoulos, and the Deputy Executive Director of the FNKA Greeks of Russia, Ms. Niki Demokritovna Karipidu, for creating a cozy, warm, and friendly atmosphere and for their invaluable contribution to our common cause. The memory of D.E. Benardaki is not just a reminder of the past but also a beacon for the future that shows us the value of self-sacrifice and love for our homeland and fellow beings.

We would also like to express our special thanks to Yulia Viktorovna Kemenchedzhi for her sponsorship of the event.
