First Amateur Chess “Friendship Tournament” – 25/05/2024

The first amateur “Friendship Tournament” was organized by the Cultural and Educational Society of Greeks on May 25, 2024, in St. Petersburg.

Representatives of the Armenian Autonomy of St. Petersburg were invited to the tournament. It featured 16 chess players aged from 7 to 75 years.

The tournament was held using the Swiss system with rating calculation, consisting of 7 rounds, with 7 minutes plus 3 seconds per move.

Technical support (chess sets, clocks) and officiating were provided by Mkhitar Aleksanyan (Armenian Chess Club of St. Petersburg).
