Historic day: 17/12/2023

Today, a general meeting of the Regional Public Organization “Cultural and Educational Society of Greeks” took place.

Efstratios Siourdakis was elected as the Chairman of the Society.

A Board of Directors was elected, consisting of 7 members:

• Gavrilov Arthur Valentinovich
• Kapasakalidis Giannis
• Changli Alexander Igorevich
• Metalidi Ekaterina Sergeevna
• Fedosov Ivan Vyacheslavovich
• Eleftheriades Dmitry Ilyich

Dmitry Gennadievich Fomichev was elected as the auditor of the society.The priority areas of activity for the Society were approved:

• Study of the Greek language and culture.
• Assistance to members of the Society in preparing for and taking the exam for Greek citizenship.
• Organization of leisure and trips for members of the Society to Greece.
• Provision of necessary assistance to members of the Society.
• Restoration of the Greek church, dedicated to St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki, at Greek Square in St. Petersburg.
